Training to Working Groups on Climate Change Adaptation

One-day Training programme was conducted for Working Groups of CCA Project at TSIIC Board Room on January 12, 2017. The programme has started with introduction by Dr. Dieter Brulez, Director, CCA Project, INTEGRATION on CCA Project and update of the project. This was followed by Dr. Kamal Kumar Murari, Associate Professor, Tata Institute of Social Sciences presented the fundamentals of climate risk analysis and group activity covering the aspects of vulnerability assessment.
This was followed by presentation on adaptation measures to climate change by Mr. Hrishikesh Mahadev, Technical Expert, CCA. He explained various adaptation measures covering Heavy rainfall related disaster and water stress related disasters on industrial parks. Dr. Unmesh Patnaik, Assistant Professor, TISS then explained how to carry out the cost-benefit analysis for selection of adaptation measures.
Then training workshop was concluded with feedbacks on how to proceed for various training programmes planned for various levels of participants including decision makers, senior managers and practitioners.
