Workshop on Management Structure in Industrial Areas (IA) and CETP Society Delhi

Dr. Michael Weber visited Patparganj, Lawrence Road and Okhla (Phase I and Phase II) industrial area, three sites taken under SEIP with GIZ Delhi Team as a part of the activity taken up on management structure of the Industrial Area (IA) and CETP Societies. He also met with DSIIDC officials for the same.

During the 3 days (14-16 Feb, 2017) visit in Delhi, the expert conducted meetings, field visits and workshops with representatives from DSIIDC, Industrial Associations, CETP Societies and Industries over the subject of the management structure for the Industrial Area.

On the first day workshop, Dr. Weber presented a case study of successful German Industrial Park with clear role of different stakeholders, and information including the business model, essential services and cooperation among the stakeholders for ease in business and effective management. He also discussed and collected information on the existing management structures of Patparganj F.I.E Entrepreneurs Association. On the second day of his visit, he met representatives from Lawrence Road CETP Society and OKhla CETP Society to understand how CETP Society functions in Delhi and also to collect base level information from these two societies. During the workshop on the second day, the German expert presented his observations and ideas to stakeholders for the Industrial Areas in Delhi. Based on inputs collected from stakeholders and discussions over the ideas, Dr. Weber will come up with a report and recommendations on the management structure for Patparganj Industrial; Area and CETP Societies in Delhi.
