Students from Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, visited GIZ on 8th July as part of a Go Green Initiative at their school. Indo-German Environment Partnership Programme shared information about e-waste management and sustainability through an interactive presentation. The animated discussion was focussed on how schools and students can contribute towards sustainability by channelising e-waste in an effective way and environment friendly way.
This was followed by a screening of the short film on “Sustainable Consumption and Production in India” which motivated the students to promote behavioural changes towards green and clean environment. They also pledged their commitment to be proactive in protecting the environment by sustainable consumption of resources.
The students planted saplings that they brought, in the vicinity of GIZ premises.
